Hints & Tips:

Fridges need to breathe, so ensure there is adequate room behind and beside the fridge for air to circulate. This will both save on electricity charges, and prolong the life of your fridge.

Whilst switched on, don’t leave the door of your fridge open for any length of time, and also check your fridge seals every once-in-a-while to ensure they’re sealing adequately. If you leave the door open, or if you have a poor seal, warm air will get into the fridge and start to cause condensation, and when the fridge is closed again this condensation will freeze into ice. Over the course of a couple of months the ice buildup will grow and eventually it may block the duct going between your fridge and freezer, preventing your fridge from cooling adequately.
